Prof.Dr. Ismail OZSOY 

Economist, economic historian. Born on September 10, 1960, in Bartin, Turkey. Studied International Relations in Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Marmara University. Got MA degree in International Relations with the thesis titled ‘Islamic Banking’ and PhD degree in Labour Economics at Istanbul University with the thesis titled ‘Interest in Islamic Economics and Its Problems’. Most of the conseptions and Islamic Economics definitions on this website is taken from his works.

He has more than 30 articles published in national and international scientific journals. Participated in many international scientific conferences

He knows three languages: Turkish (native), English, and Arabic.

He is married and has four children.
